New Year: New Tradition-The Blessing Jar

Justin and I have recently talked several times about this past year. What left us feeling like true conquers and victors and what made us feel simply defeated. It's been a year of change, growth, struggle, joy, laughter, tears, fears, love, anger, restoration and freedom. We can agree that one thing remained constant this year and saw us through everything never changing, never failing, never defeated and always victorious:
Our sweetglorious and wonderful
God.

So this new year, we want to do our very best to try to account for the blessings in our lives. To not only remember our struggles and hardships, but to remember those sweet victories. Both big and small.
So we now have a glass mason jar sitting on our kitchen table to deposit those blessings into on any scrap of paper. New Year's Eve of this year we will sit down and read what God has done in and through us this year. Counting our blessings, if you will....giving God the Glory.

Many, Lord my God,
    are the wonders you have done,
    the things you planned for us.
None can compare with you;
    were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
    they would be too many to declare.
-Psalms 40:5

  1. From Aunt Tippy, love the blessing jar. All good gifts come from heaven, what a wonderful reminder;)

  2. This really is a very neat idea. I could even see myself dropping in "I made dinner and on time" in there, or "Hugh ate a veggie" and all those what might seem small but really BIG things getting thrown in there. You're an amazing woman of the Most High bff!
